Every great movement begins with a single act of obedience. For Good Samaritan Ministries Pakistan, that act was the distribution of just five Urdu Bibles in a small village in Punjab. It was a simple beginning — no office, no budget, no organizational structure — just a man with a calling and a handful of Bibles. That man was Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, and the story of how those five Bibles grew into a nationwide Bible distribution movement is nothing short of miraculous.
Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir grew up witnessing the spiritual hunger of Pakistani Christians who longed to read the Bible but could not afford one. As a young minister, he began collecting donations to purchase Urdu Bibles and distribute them for free to families in his community. The response was overwhelming. Word spread from village to village, and requests for free Urdu Bibles began pouring in from across the country. What started as a personal mission quickly became an organized ministry, and Good Samaritan Ministries Pakistan was officially established to meet the growing demand.
Over the years, Good Samaritan Ministries has grown from those initial five Bibles to distributing over 150,000 free Urdu Bibles across all four provinces of Pakistan. The ministry has conducted hundreds of Bible distribution crusades, partnered with churches and pastors in the most remote regions of the country, and developed a nationwide network of volunteers committed to putting God’s Word into every willing hand. The ministry has also expanded its outreach to include pastor support, community development, and evangelistic campaigns.
But for Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, the mission has never been about numbers. “Every Bible has a face,” he often says. “Behind every number is a person created in the image of God who deserves to hear His voice through the Scriptures.” This deeply personal conviction continues to drive the ministry forward. Today, Good Samaritan Ministries stands as one of the leading Bible distribution organizations in Pakistan, with a bold vision to distribute one million free Urdu Bibles by 2033. From five Bibles to a nationwide movement — this is the power of faith, obedience, and the unfailing grace of God.
